Associate degreeI am Joe Huang, a Taiwanese student from Taipei on the associate degree program at the Hubbard College of Administration (HCA), Los Angeles, CA. I just completed the “Personal Integrity” course. Nowadays, the crime rate has risen dramatically. Specialists, like psychologists, are striving to figure out what prompts the criminal’s behavior. However, they haven’t found the real reason why people do harmful things to other people. In this course, “Personal Integrity,” I’ve learned a real reason why people do unethical things. In this amazing course, I’ve learned that someone becomes a criminal because he or she was forced to accept some “rights and wrongs” that he or she didn’t agree with. Therefore, we can’t force people to accept them.  A person will only conduct his or herself ethically and morally because he or she wants to. Furthermore, one will feel guilty and be unhappy if he or she does something that he or she thinks is wrong and if he or she withholds (hides it from another) that act. Withheld harmful acts generate more harmful acts to hide.  Fortunately, there is a simple solution to this dilemma: what he or she needs to do is to tell what he or she has withheld. This is the road of self-exoneration and leads to recovered happiness. The ex-president in Taiwan has committed a crime in stealing a huge amount of money from the country. What he did is considered wrong. He withheld his acts; therefore, he is unhappy. The way to regain his happiness and to reduce the crime rate is to tell the things one has withheld. To sum up, this is a very useful course. It can help you to examine yourself and correct any wrong behaviors and clean up any past misdeeds. I have applied this personal integrity technology to myself with favorable results. I really learned a lot from this “Personal Integrity” course.
